The lodge maintains a private landing in Morson with parking for vehicles and trailers, a boat launch, and two docks. From there, the final part of your trip is across Lake of the Woods to Grassy Narrows Lodge.
Guests crossing into Canada at either Baudette/Rainy River or International Falls/Fort Frances should call Grassy Narrows Lodge at 1-800-589-2214 after crossing the border so the lodge has time to coordinate your arrival at the landing.
From the Landing to the Lodge
Grassy Narrows Landing is the departure point for the final leg of your trip. The private landing provides parking for vehicles and trailers, a boat launch, and two docks where guests can prepare for the trip across the lake.
Grassy Narrows Lodge is a boat-in destination, so there is no road leading directly to the lodge. Guests arriving without their own boat are picked up at the landing and transported across Lake of the Woods to the lodge. That boat-in setting is part of what makes a stay at Grassy Narrows unique. Once you leave the landing behind, you’re headed for the lodge and the surrounding waters of Miles Bay.

What to Bring
Lake of the Woods weather can change quickly, so pack for a range of conditions and bring the personal items you’ll want for a comfortable stay.

Most non-Canadian residents need a valid Ontario Outdoors Card and fishing license before fishing on Lake of the Woods. Ontario offers both Sport and Conservation licenses, including options for shorter fishing trips.
