Nearly 90 Years on Lake of the Woods

Grassy Narrows Lodge has been welcoming anglers and families to the legendary waters of Lake of the Woods since 1938. Located on the secluded Aulneau Peninsula in Miles Bay near Morson, Ontario, our boat-in lodge offers a unique blend of exceptional fishing, comfortable accommodations, and genuine Canadian hospitality.

Over the decades, Grassy Narrows Lodge has evolved while staying true to the traditions that have defined it for generations. From its early beginnings as a simple wilderness retreat to the welcoming destination it is today, each owner has shared a commitment to creating memorable experiences on and off the water.

OUR HISTORY

Generations of Hospitality

1938-1969

The Beginning

Built by Nick, Ed, and George Brusven with Jean Prideaux. The original log structure, now Cabin 2, still stands today and remains an important part of the lodge's history.

1969–1988

The McDougall Years

Lloyd and Marion McDougall, along with Dennis and Jerri, helped shape the lodge's welcoming atmosphere. Their commitment strengthened its growing reputation.

The Fisher Years

Betty and Jerry Fisher spent 26 years creating memorable experiences for guests and families. Their dedication built traditions that continue to define the lodge today.
